Speed Dating For Financial Empowerment

Join us for our “Speed Dating for Financial Empowerment” event where you can share your knowledge and experience about any topic relating to financial empowerment.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about a financially empowering topic that you hadn’t given much thought to before. Most importantly, you can connect with other members of our wonderful GJWHF$ community to arrange more 1-1 money dates.

How It Works

Every participant in this event has to identify one subject matter relating to financial empowerment that you are comfortable speaking about for 3 minutes on a 1-1 basis with every other person in the room. Each date lasts for 6 minutes before you move on to the next person. 

Examples of topics you can speak about: 

• How to use AI to manage your finances

• How to put your entire life on an app

• What insurance is essential for a financially healthy life and what to stay away from

• Is carbon credit a good investment

• What you should negotiate in your tenancy agreement

• What are the essential elements for writing a will.

• Little ways to save big money in HK 

• How to negotiate a raise

• My top 3 finance books that everyone should read

By the end of the evening, you should have:

• Spoken with everyone else in the room and gotten to know our community better

• Learned something useful about a topic you hadn’t given much thought about before

• Realised that you are a valued member of the community who has something useful to share

• Found who to reach out to for more information and set up your own 1-1 money date

Seats are limited. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Once we hit maximum capacity, you will be put on a waitlist.

• This event is a knowledge and experience-sharing session. There is no expectation for any participants to answer questions beyond what they are comfortable answering. 

• Participants are attending this event in a personal capacity and are sharing their experience and knowledge, which may or may not have been acquired from their professional experience.

• This event is not intended to be a professional marketplace, so self-promotion of your business or your services is not permitted. 

• Participants are free to organise their own 1-1 meetings with each other after the event.

• To ensure that members can get the most out of this event, we kindly ask that you register only if you are certain you can attend and arrive by 7pm. If you cannot attend, please let us know immediately so we can make timely adjustments.

• Please note that if you sign up and do not show up, it may affect your ability to attend our next event.
